Tsawwassen Mills, Ivanhoé Cambridge

Tsawwassen Mills, Ivanhoé Cambridge

The brief

Please help us develop a set of creative solutions as we prepare for the opening of Tsawwassen Mills (near Vancouver, Canada) and we will not have all retail spaces ready to open.

The Approach

After receiving the details from the client regarding the stores that were not ready to open, because they were either not leased or simply because the tenant was not going to be able to open in time, 3DWD had an internal creative session.

The outcome of that session was that we were to divide the project into three parts – (1) concept development for key locations, that we would try to work on with brands (2) 3D Graphics to show the type of tenant the center was looking to attract and (3) Coming soon graphics (both 3D and 2D).

The Outcome

3DWD was selected as the creative agency for this project and we successfully developed 3D, interactive and graphic design concepts for all stores that were not ready to open. The outcome was very well-received both by our client, shoppers and brand partners.

Hoog Catharijne, Klépierre

Hoog Catharijne, Klépierre

The brief

We are opening the first phase of an extensive redevelopment of the largest shopping center in The Netherlands and many of our tenants are not able to open in time.

Can you propose a solution to improve the visual aesthetics as we work on opening this new phase?

The Approach

Our team visited the site and developed a set of solutions – from a practical standpoint we developed a set of solutions that would provide us the flexibility to deal with last minute changes.

From a creative standpoint we used a mix of 3D Window Dressing® graphics, the new Klépierre “Let’s Play” campaign and retailer specific graphics.

The Outcome

In a record time 3DWD developed unique graphics per storefront and successfully installed all these before the grand opening of this spectacular new development as designed by Stir Architecture for Klépierre took place.

HUMA ELEVEN, SES Spar European Shopping Centers GmbH

HUMA ELEVEN, SES Spar European Shopping Centers GmbH

The brief

The client was looking for an interactive design to attract people’s attention and let them engage with the space. An empty hallway at the entrance should turn into something more appealing and interactive. “Our clients should feel the need to take pictures in front of the wall, that are fun and worth sharing on their social media channels”.

The wall that was asked to be created should fit in the theme and surrounding of the Shopping Center. Nature and local animals were the focus on this creation.

After receiving the client’s vision and point of view, our 3DWD team was ready to create a custom design for this request.

The Approach

After presenting the sketch of our ideas to the client, the challenge was to find and create the specific animals in positions, that people can interact with and still look natural.

The creative wall was asked to give further info’s about the animals, their behaviours as well as their heritage. Little texts about each feature were delivered by the client, and with the help of our designers’ skills, we were able to deliver the final art exactly like the client imagined.

The Outcome

3DWD designed, adapted and produced the designs for this project, the installation was realized by a local partner.

Our client was very happy with the result of our work and the first Shopping Center visitors are already spreading the wall on social media channels.

Martim Moniz, Stone Capital

Martim Moniz, Stone Capital

The brief

Stone Capital is currently developing an exciting project in the very heart of Lisbon – at Martim Moniz Square. This project is aiming to reform one of the ’brushed aside’ squares of Lisbon and turn it into a central leisure and socializing spot for culture.

During the construction period the entire site got closed by hoardings. The client wanted to use these hoardings to give a soft and welcoming image of the project for the multi-cultural neighborhood that it’s located in. There should be neither ads nor the name of the client but only the messages that they were willing to pass.

The Approach

Our design team started with defining a main theme /motto which would cover all the designs under its umbrella. For such a multi-cultural neighborhood, the themes came out to be very natural and strong.

We decided to move further with two main mottos;

I love Martim Moniz & I am Martim Moniz “

The aim here was to make sure that the locals would not alienate themselves from the new project and meanwhile understand that our client is indeed sensitive about the urban tissue.

Theme of love wrapped all our designs and our client followed our heart!

The Outcome

3DWD created several graphics around the warmth of the chosen theme and then composed them into a fluent and meaningful sequence.

As a result, we received a happy client as well as an approval from the local municipality.

All the 3D concept designs were redesigned to fit each space. In addition, we developed several custom store concepts in line with the tenants that were to open soon after.

We produced the 3D designs using the latest printing machines and using premium materials with high-end lamination.

Atlantic Station, Hines

Atlantic Station, Hines

The brief

Hines started construction on an extension of Atlantic Station, a mixed-use development in Atlanta, which also includes office towers, several multifamily communities and a full-service hotel.

The client’s request was very specific, – we need an innovative construction barricade concept to create excitement in this area. Something unique where visitors can have a glance at the development process and also diminish the inevitable effect of construction work going on at a busy property.

The Approach

Our design team prepared different mood boards and sketches to show the concept ideas and different directions.

We proposed a premium barricade with 3D visualizations, giving an added value to the space and to the visitors. It also included three creative pop-ups adjacent where people can interact, play and learn about the developments at Atlantic Station.

Do you want to see the development in a 360º aerial drone view? Check every corner of the construction in a real and in motion bird’s eye view using 3D technology.

Why not have a barbeque spot? Join with your partners and friends, cook and eat together and have a good time at Atlantic Station’s central square.

Do you have further questions? Just call our real-time concierge through the screen using 3DWD’s Scotti technology and have all your questions answered.

The Outcome

A set of creative concepts that tickle the imagination and can be implemented in different situations.

The Approach

Thanks to the extra material delivered by the client and our 3D designers skills, we were able to deliver the final art exactly like the client imagined.

Reem Mall, Al Farwaniya Property Developments

Reem Mall, Al Farwaniya Property Developments

The brief

Reem Mall will be a major retail, leisure, dining and entertainment destination for families in the heart of Abu Dhabi. The 2-million square feet of gross leasable area (2.9 million square feet of gross floor area) will feature 450 units including 85 restaurants, 3 department stores, one of the largest hypermarket space in the region, as well as unique entertainment and edutainement features – including Snow Park Abu Dhabi operated by Majid Al Futtaim.

The project, developed by NREC and UPAC at a cost of $1.2 billion, is strategically located at the entrance of Reem Island, and will become a leading destination shopping centre in one of the most vibrant and growing cities in the MENA region. Its proximity to downtown, the ample parking, its modern high-quality design and its complete offering truly position this mall in a class of its own.

3DWD was asked to develop 3D Window Dressing® graphics for a scaled-down replica of the mall. This is where proposed common area finishes are being sampled and evaluated and will provide retailers with insight into the look and feel of the mall.

The Approach

3DWD discussed the required style and prospective tenants that Reem Mall wishes to attract. Together with the architect and marketing team a direction was chosen after which 3DWD designed specific themes in order to show the look of the shop units once the mall will open.

3DWD took care of design and project management for the successful installation of various 3D Window Dressing® graphics for Reem Mall’s miniature version.

The Outcome

It is not that usual for a mall to build a mini mall where tenants can see what the actual finishes of the mall will look like. Then again, Reem Mall is not an ordinary mall and the result looks stunning. 3DWD was happy to assist on this project.
